Unless (this is a privacy issue), it is hooked up or linked to a bio-marker that also identifies the person and age so that it cannot be fooled.

Software security measures can always be broken, if can get into the system, OS you can always break software. A hardware methodology that is not visible to the network, or the operating system as a backup always is the best option in my view.
