1 Design for quality

DFMEA, DFM, is an important tool if it is effectively used , we can get product with robust design. Execution of DFM inputs is an important aspects also,where the actions on DFM inputs will help out to reduce the process errors.

DVP is a tool used to validate the designed product used as a components in the vehicle. Cases are trending for the components developed for vehicle have failures passed in DV. Feedback mechanism of the components fitted in the vehicle and testing in actual environment test conditions, will help it out to bring on the surface what further improvement can be done by the components/parts manufacturer. Feedback mechanism should be from category wise experts when testing the vehicle in actual environments test with different components/parts mounted in vehicle i.e Electrical experts, Engine expert, Chassis expert etc, Category wise expert feedback mechanism will be more effective and will give further scope of improvement .

The very first step for ensuring quality in a project is missing in this description: - Define the clear and precise scope of the project - define and agree on deterministic and measurable requirements Without these steps, there will be no quality achieved in a project. From experience, especially the scope definition is the most difficult one…
