Testing in general whether integration testing or unit testing should be prioritized among the work that the team needs to deliver. Integration testing could provide the most value for the effort as it tests multiple parts of the system at the same time, and the most reflective to the actual user experience. Make sure the team designs a testing strategy, what parts will be automated and which ones will be manually tested. Automated testing can take longer to develop, but the benefits pays off almost immediately.
