Pareto analysis system is used by small business to identify the most significant factors that are likely to affect their business processes. That means that by focusing on the graphic 80/20 problem that indicates the 20% of problems that are responsible for 80% of inefficiencies, business can use the available resources more efficiently. This system-specific way of working consequently results in great improvements. In process control, Pareto analysis helps one to see where to apply corrective actions most in order to achieve a better flow of operations and effective productivity.

5 Six Sigma

In Six Sigma there is method called DMAIC: Define, Measeure, Analyze, Improve and Control. The most important thing is the definition of the root cause. To find that root cause, measurements and other data have to be analysed and experiments ran. Once the root can be defined, a cause of action can develop that will improve and control.

We used control charts for continuous improvement and management. 3 sigma limits used in manufacturing to reduce variation under the specification limit. We continued the improvement process until we had process capabilities over 2.0.
