Before arriving at the stage of visualising BMS data, the expert responsible for deploying a BMS must have first applied the "stakeholder identification", "scope definition", and "objective setting" stage based on the context of the building being managed (residential or commercial). Reason is these three steps will determine the expectations of stakeholders which will in turn determine the type of data to be collected in the first place, and what KPIs they want to see. If the wrong data is collected, the goal of visualisation will be a failure even before it starts. Lastly, the PDCA cycle of ISO: 50001(Energy Management System) can be applied to help in planning your BMS data visualisation, as this covers preliminary steps.
