We are in the process of evaluating our badging strategy overall - which I think is important to do periodically. One question I've been asking myself to think critically about a badge is, "Is it a badge or a sticker?" Designing a meaningful badge will mean taking the perspective of badge earners and other stakeholders. What will the badge mean to them? Developing personas can help in this regard.
