En general creo que el área de mantenimiento al ser el "asesor técnico" de las empresas, tiene dentro de sus alcances producir iniciativas que van ligadas con el ahorro de energía y la sostenibilidad. Como siempre, debemos de tener en cuenta el fin más que la herramienta y buscar un retorno de inversión aceptable dentro de lo que busquemos implementar. En el caso de energía renovables, debemos evaluar no solamente el retorno sino también los servicios postventa que van a hacer que esto sea sostenible, así como las posibles contingencias en caso de falla y los costos de disposición y reposición al final de la vida útil de estos activos.

La gestión energética se integra con la gestión de mantenimiento al entender que actualmente no solo hay que velar que no tengan paradas intempestivas los equipos a cargo, sino que el consumo energético sea el esperado, lo que se conoce como línea base en la ISO 50,001. Como ejemplo, tomemos como equipo un caldero el cual a?os atrás se consideraba que mientras generará el vapor necesario a costo óptimos de mantenimiento, la operación podría considerarse como bien mantenido, pero ahora adicional al criterio de operatividad se suma el criterio de consumo energético, por lo cual ahora si un caldero genera el vapor necesario, pero a un consumo de combustible por encima de lo seteado gatilla inmediatamente una anomalía que debe ser intervenida.

Para mantener un sistema de energía renovable, al igual que cualquier equipo industrial se debe determinar las variables críticas de operación y determinar la banda de control de cada una de dichas variables para en caso de que haya una desviación pueda reportarse como una anomalía a ser solucionada. En paralelo al lanzamiento del sistema de energía renovable se debe crear un Plan de mantenimiento, con el detalle de los procedimientos y recursos necesarios por actividad, y así cumplir con las necesidades de operación y disponibilidad del site. Y durante la vida del sistema debe implementarse mínimamente los procesos de planificación y programación de mantenimiento, análisis causa raíz (ACR) y capacitación constante.

En mi experiencia, la Gestión de Riesgos, es una práctica que ha resultado para facilitar el cumplimiento de los objetivos cuando se trata de proyectos que integran sistemas de energía renovables en la gestión de #mantenimiento. Así por ejemplo identificamos los #riesgos previstos durante la procura, adquisición, instalación, pruebas y puesta en marcha de dichas fuentes de energía. Posteriormente analizar y jerarquizar dichos #riesgos para definir el plan de respuestas a cada uno de estos.
