In My Experience i feel sustainability is primarily associated with Its environmental, Social and economic impacts with a key emphasis on the Life Cycle assessment of its implementation . To start of we need to closely asses the ecological impact of the implementation like energy consumption, Green house gas emission, water usage and waste disposal In addition to the above it is imperative to evaluate the social impact an activity has like labor practices, community engagement, health and safety. The above scope along with a clear focus on economic viability of an implemented sustainability activity and understanding the life cycle of the implementation are key drivers to start off

One thing I've found helpful is understanding the concept of things first before trying to analyze them. In In 1987, the United Nations Brundtland Commission defined sustainability as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” The sustainability goals are 17 and were created by The United Nations in 2016 with the aim of "peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future." Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities; is to "Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable." Following Goal 11 of the 17 Sustainable goals, my projects in the real estate industry will run towards ensuring sustainable cities.
