Activities and gatherings have 2 totally different lighting watts and types for effectiveness.Gotta see where ur going lamp post draw bugs right at face level or right above your head. Brighter lights should be domed & only light the pathway& these are the ones you want to stay bright with constant have these weatherproofed & set in permanant fixtures. They can be motion censored to save money or continuous but definitely hardwired. Solar powered lights set a mood but don't keep effects for long periods of time but definitely eco~ friendly. Remote controled multi colored rope lights outdoor makes them weather resistant but gives you control over the visibility and thats one way to effectively GET THE PARYY STARTED or SHUT IT DOWN
