Briefly summarize how the design process was crucial for the project...i.e. improved efficiency by x%, or reduced technical debt by x%.

Here are some of my favourite questions to ask during an interview 1)Can you share a project where you successfully balanced the needs of content creators and consumers, considering the unique challenges of the creator economy? 2) What methodologies do you employ to gather feedback from users, especially content creators, and how do you iterate on designs based on this feedback? 3) How do you consider accessibility and inclusivity when designing user interfaces for diverse creators and audiences in the creator economy?

This a serious challenge that businesses and designers must battle with every day. It helps you identify how the UX designer balances competing interest, in a way that all parties end up happy. Ask questions like: 1) How do you communicate an important customer problem if it competes with senior management's priorities? - This answered with an example, and the example should be presented using the STAR method. 2) Walk me through a time you handled pushback from senior management about a feature design that you trully believed customers needed/wanted? How did you respond and what was outcome? - This should be answered using the STAR method.

This can usually be a challenge, sometimes users may want their way however the business drives the user to follow a certain way to design. Finding a sweet spot between user needs and expectations and meeting those with business goals can help add value to both stakeholders.

I balance user needs and business goals by: 1. Empathy through research: Understanding user pain points and motivations through user research & personas. 2. Prioritizing for impact: Identifying features that address key needs while driving business objectives. 3. Iterative validation: Constantly testing and refining solutions to ensure both user satisfaction and goal achievement. 4. Clear communication: Advocating for user-centricity and demonstrating the value proposition of design decisions. This ensures a win-win situation where business thrives through happy and engaged users.

What are we trying to solve? Who are we designing for? What are their needs and goals? Use personas and scenarios this will help you to understand the different ways that people might use your product. Conduct accessibility testing this will help you to identify and fix any accessibility barriers.

1) Walk me through a time you had to design for different personas or customers who had varying needs, how did you go about it? - Be clear and concise, use a project you worked on and the personas you had to build for; walk us through how you communicated with the personas, what made their needs different, and how were you able to implement the feedback you received into an inclusive product design.

This is the toughest and most subjective ability, because it can feel very personal. As creators, we put our own intuition and philosophies into our designs, even when trying to stay objective. Ways to alleviate that upfront is to strive for multiple design concepts to prevent having a subconscious “favorite”. During design review meetings, make sure you have the right stakeholders and decision makers. When it’s review time, the user needs should already have been approved so it’s a matter of presenting designs as next steps off of that to remain objective.

Feedback is a fundamental step in the design processs, therefore you need to have a specific tool in order to register every comment and critic. Also, you need to enable the user or stackeholder to bring new ideas because they could be able to provide a new point of view to the problem they have identified in the design. Feedback greed has been very useful to collect user feedback and allows processing problems or critics in a positive way. Above all, you need to remain open-minded to start once again the design.

Prioritize and iterate: I evaluate feedback based on impact and feasibility, then implement changes through iterative testing. This ensures feedback fuels my growth and leads to better designs for the Creator Economy.

An important thing to consider is their approach to problem solving. This is so vital as not all design problems/challenges follow the same process to arriving at a solution. The designer needs to have the ability to take a problem, map out a strategy to solving it considering things time constraints, resources available, deliverables, stakeholders involved etc.

How do you handle pressure and deal with stress is a great . These are the fundamentals to manage as a designer, especially if you're sitting across multi-disciplinary teams.

Have they ever challenged a status quo? This will help to understand if they have critical thinking and will try to push some ideas that have a great potential but have been overlooked due to old practices. Another great question is, "How do they solve UX if architecture or UX cannot be fixed?"
