There are few lighting techniques that you would typically see in different genres such as. High key lighting for sit coms/beauty commercials or low key for dramas, horrors and thrillers. But there is no rules that can’t be broken as being a creative gives you the ability to use any technique however you feel as long as it’s purposeful.

Lighting for green screen can seem daunting but try the technique I use is. 1 lighting the green screen separately to the your subjects and try to create enough separation to reduce any green reflections. 2 Make sure that no one is wearing any green on screen as it will be keyed out along with the background. If Green needs to be worn then use a blue screen instead.
