Many a times we think we know a concept, because we know a lot of fancy terms related to it. But when we have to explain it very simply, to somebody who has no idea about it, we get to know that we ourselves aren't much sure of the those fancy terms.

So, the best things we can do is, make research papers in scientific language, and also make material (such as videos, books, etc) to explain it simply.

Hence we have to make a balance such that neither we overcomplicate nor oversimplify scientific studies. One thing we can do is make different versions of scientific studies for different audience. For example: You must have seen those videos on YouTube where an expert explains the same concept to a kid, teenager, adult and middle aged, with increasing level of difficulty. And at last everyone has a good idea of what that concept means.
