As much as this is curriculum led actually it’s about knowing your students and what they will be able to access the change needs to be made for the curriculum to fit students not the students fit the curriculum

If we don't give our students an opportunity to use what we teach, we're giving them knowledge only. Using authentic materials will most likely help to transport those students from the pages of a book into something they can benefit from for the rest of their life.

Some good resources that I have used to develop authentic materials for my ESL classes in the past are the following: - The Putting English to Work series (I think there are 3 in total); and - The Learning English Let's Talk DVD series (there are number of them) Resources like these can be found on YouTube.
