After a week, we notice more customers entering through the blue door. A/B testing helps us pick the door that brings in more visitors, but for apps or website instead of doors. Its like fine tuning to make things more appealing based on what people actually prefers.

A/B testing is a way to identify which design variant out of A or B is best suitable for the hypothesis that is being tested. From the results of A/B testing, user behaviour and their choices are reflected. A/B testing could be applied before and after redesign of a concept/functionality/journey that is being redesigned- this would help identify if the concept has driven the intended results which could be in terms of growth or engagement of more users. It can also be applied on a new product to seek quick clarity by testing the A & the B variants with the targeted user group to understand their favourable choice.

I recommended making rapid revisions to your interaction design options consecutively while testing with a user pool that can be manageable.
