Take in mind these events will affect the company on some unexpected time; so you must indicate the consequences that will happend: fire out the job or fines on the company or self member; you must evaluate how the company will process and your remember these points.. Evaluate if the problem is a technical process from a missing data policies; or attitude about the data policies on their work: this indicate what is the real problem to try to solve it

I’d start by having a one-on-one conversation with the team member to better understand the root cause of the issue. Are they unclear about the policies? Are there technical challenges, or is it a matter of awareness or oversight? Understanding their perspective is key before taking any further action. People often respond better when they understand the “why” behind the rules hence explaining the broader impact of data governance breaches would help. I’d also put a follow-up plan in place to closely monitor compliance and ensure the team member is adhering to the rules. A proactive approach shows that the issue is being taken seriously while still allowing room for improvement.

If the same breach is happening more than once, I'll initiate separation of the employee. There is no room for data breach offence.

1st breach - counsel and give ultimatum 2nd breach - termination since the employee doesn’t seem to care about data integrity.
