No matter how kind and well meaning your work colleagues may be, watch out for this. If you are surrounded by them at a meeting or socially and they are talking a different language to the one you can speak, you will feel cold shouldered, isolated, excluded. Please remember to take account of everyone’s linguistic abilities in a team conversation and use the common language whenever possible.
