We must involve employees as co-creators of Lean solutions, giving them ownership of the process. We should emphasize on experiential learning over traditional training, and encourage decentralized decision-making to boost autonomy. We have to focus on intrinsic motivation and peer recognition for contributions, while promoting shared leadership in Lean projects. Finally, we must link Lean to broader organizational values, like sustainability, to make it more meaningful.

With Hoshin Kanri, the entire organization can align around common strategic goals, breaking down objectives through each level of the company and ensuring that everyone understands their role in continuous improvement. This methodology not only clarifies the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of each goal but also fosters team commitment by giving them visibility and accountability in the process.
