From my experience, having a glossary for commonly used terminologies in the unit that every one in the team can refer to from time to time is very helpful. This ensures that everyone is on the same page and knows where to check when in doubt.

Often a major initial hurdle arises from people's individual learning and communication styles. Accordingly, it's important to lay out an initial set of operating expectations for all team members while also stating, clearly, that in a group, differences abound and those need to be respected even if they clash with you. We have all been in a meeting that should have been an email update. Choosing tools and methods of communication can be as critical as the message itself. (3) does it need feedback from the other person(s)? (4) what is the decision ultimately needed? (5) is the decision needed from multiple people? The technical Project Manager/Scrum Master should take ownership of establishing and enforcing process frameworks, as they are best positioned to understand both technical and management aspects.
