You need to inventory your current hardware and also need to determine if it’s EOL-EOS. Normally vendors will not support hardware that’s EOL with current updates And patches. By not taking action on updating your hardware you run the risk of increasing your attack surface and getting exploited. Make sure your APL. (Approved product list) is up to date with the current vendor hardware offerings. Industry standards dictate that you have hardware refreshes every 5 years. It depends on your RMF framework and ATO Package.
