How do you stay on top of your game when juggling numerous projects?
-
When juggling multiple projects with tight deadlines, I prioritize breaking tasks into smaller, manageable chunks to prevent feeling overwhelmed. I set mini-deadlines for each part, ensuring steady progress and staying on track. Effective communication is crucial—I keep stakeholders updated, highlight any potential bottlenecks, and set realistic expectations. Regular breaks help me recharge and maintain both mental and physical energy. By staying organized, managing expectations, and focusing on self-care, I can avoid burnout while maintaining high performance and productivity across all projects.

The BIGGEST thing that will help you is knowing when to (politely) say "no" to people. If your boss or customer asks for the impossible, tell them so. But only go that way when you REALLY need to, because then people will believe you when you say "no." If you say it too often when it's not actually an impossible task, they won't take you seriously when it matters. And learn to ask the right questions. Don't make stupid assumptions trying to avoid "looking stupid" because nothing makes you look stupider than avoiding making a request for the information that you need to do the job right, only to end up doing the job wrong. So don't be afraid to ask questions if you need more info or if you're not sure how to do something.
