Meiner Erfahrung nach ist R sehr leistungsstark, gratis und benutzerfreundlich.Die propriet?ren Softwarepakete Stata, SAS, SPSS, AMOS etc. sind etwas benutzerfeundlicher aber weniger flexibel. Eine Java-basierte Alternative ist jamovi. Auch damit habe ich gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Mein Favorit ist natürlich Python mit pandas-Library. Python ist einfach unglaublich vielseitig und trotzdem leicht zu erlernen. Für Nicht-Techies reicht natürlich auch Excel oder PowerBI.

R: historical importance, code, highly relevant in research. SAS: can do everything on anyhting but a lot of code and billions of parameters to understand. Excel: not a statistical package XLStat: proper implementation of statistics for Excel; no code. Minitab: a little of everything, no code, oriented toward process / quality control / design of experiments; Eviews, Gauss, Stata, Amos: excellent with a specific objective in mind (time series analysis...) PowerBI, Tableau: not statistical packages.

Ich bin auch ein Fan von e-Books und dem guten alten Buch. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn es hier auch noch Literaturempfehlungen gibt. Ein weiterer Punkt, der mir hier noch fehlt, ist der Erfahrungsaustausch über Linkedin-Gruppen und Communities im Netz. Man kann auch sehr vieles von anderen Datenanalytiker*innen lernen. Dritter Punkt ist auch das Lernen über ChatGPT und Co. ChatGPT ist bei manchen Programmierproblemen doch ein sehr gutes Nachschlagewerk.
