First of all it is all depentend on the topic. You may not want to use pink headers if the topic is heavy machinery. You may want to keep a helathy balance between Your topic and the visuals. I just suggest, these visual, logos, colors to match with Your topic and with Your personality first, because if You put these two well together, the success of having a wonderful presentation, a joyful meeting and fascinating feedback from Your audience is going to be very high. This will not only keep You motivated but also will keep Your audience remember You, as the presenter, that is easy to understand, funny, exclusive and mysterious at the same time.

Also, if the topic is very specific or very "dry", You can not have constant attention, which, by the way is not easy. You have to use some emotional equipment from Your backpack to make Your audience feel, You are useful for them. For me, the visual identity is balancing on three different stages: facts-questions-experience. The good thing among these are: I can use the facts to reveal dry information. I can aks, or be asked questions to formulate my session forward. I can give them genuine examples of my experience. However, this as I wrote it down, alone, is not enough for a succesful presentation. You have to give a handful of emotions also alongside Your colorful slides.

Be creative, it is the very basic first step. Again, it is also dependent on the topic and Your audience. If You know Your audience, You can use your alluring side to create a warm and misterious presentation. If You don't know Your audience, You need bulletproof facts, but need to keep a balance between facts and transofmative new ideas. In general, if You know Your topic very well, and have plenty of experience, You will not need much mastery to be fascinating or mindblowing.

Red will immediately be recognized, and it will also have a deeper meaning. As for my presentations, I use red to make sure that the most important information is highlited.
