A huge thank you to everyone who came out to help put the finishing touches on Wakeland Housing and Development Corporation’s newest affordable housing community in Ocean Beach—The Shores at North Beach Apartments! ?? From rebuilding fences to setting up cozy patio spaces and delivering move-in kits, over 30 volunteers, including those from Wakeland Housing & Development, San Diego Housing Commission, Studio E Architects, USA, UCHS Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, and our amazing Allgire Foundation team, came together to make a lasting impact in the San Diego community. This project is extra special because of the heart and hands involved. Volunteers helped build fences, paint, and assemble furniture so The Shores will be ready to welcome 13 residents who have experienced homelessness in just a few weeks. ???
