We all need to understand _and apply_ ideas like versioning, approval and revision, and we need to do it consistently and to a common format. That takes training and discipline. Just because Sharepoint can (if set up to do so) saves a minor version on every edit does not mean you have a document management system. That's just version tracking. It is people that decide when a draft becomes a stable version; when it is necessary to open a new version; what metadata to add (eg reason for change, summary of change) to make on a change in version; and when a document version is approved for use or release.

Me ha resultado útil mantener el historial de versiones del documentos en primera instancia, para llevar seguimiento y la correcta aplicación del mismo, si se lleva correctamente el historial entonces nadie deberia utilizar documentos pasados como vigentes a menos que sea para consulta. Y de esta manera se lleva el control de cambios que hay dentro del mismo documento, las modificaciones que se han realizado, las correcciones o cualquier indicación que modifique o altere el sentido del mismo.
