Here's a causal and positive feedback loop (without graphics). A cute puppy garners treats. Treats make the puppy happier. Happier puppies are more cute. Cute puppies garner treats. And this is a balanced feedback loop A rat is content. Over time, the rat excess energy builds up. The rat gets on it's flying saucer and runs for a while. The rat's pent up energy disperses. The rat is content. You can draw these on paper with simple circles, plus and negative signs, and some text. Artistry is not required. You can put a lot of interrelated loops on paper and see how they work together. To see a complicated example, google the citric acid cycle, or the Krebbs cycle, and look at the images that come up.

2 How to draw causal loop diagrams?

To draw a causal loop diagram, you must first identify the main variables relevant to your system and question.
