Philanthropy Tank aims to help shape students’ leadership paths by enabling them to serve their community.
关于我们
Developed by Advisors for Philanthropic Impact (API), Philanthropy Tank provides an opportunity for youth to secure mentoring and funding for breakthrough community betterment projects. Philanthropy Tank fuels and inspires the next generation of change leaders—our youth. Students identify social issues that confront our community. The program challenges, empowers and equips them to develop and execute sustainable initiatives and solutions to these problems. Philanthropist-investors fund student initiatives, investing in their community projects. Through one-to-one mentoring, philanthropist-investors fuel students’ desire, helping them execute initiatives while increasing their ability to make meaningful change. The fundamental aims of Philanthropy Tank are to help shape students’ leadership paths and, through their creative solutions, address and improve social issues in our community.

When I first started working in the nonprofit sector in fundraising back in the mid-2000s, the first thing I did was get involved and join the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Palm Beach Chapter. As a young fundraiser, I looked up to and admired those in the community who were regarded as the best in the sector. Amy Brand, MNM, CFRE is one of those people. I was very fortunate to have served alongside Amy on the AFP Palm Beach County Chapter Board and was appreciative when she agreed to sit down with me as a guest on the latest episode of IMPACTability: The Nonprofit Leaders Podcast. We talked about Amy's extensive experience in the nonprofit sector and how she emphasizes the critical role of listening to donors and community needs to drive growth and engagement, especially in her current role as Executive Director for Philanthropy Tank.
