In my experience, you can never go wrong if you 1. Translate Feedback into New Criteria: Regularly update your acceptance criteria based on user feedback to ensure it evolves with changing user needs and expectations. 3. Align Feedback with User Stories: Tie user feedback directly to the original user stories that acceptance criteria were based on, ensuring any iterations remain user-focused. 4. Facilitate Cross-Team Communication: Use the acceptance criteria as a common language between developers, designers, and stakeholders.

We ensure our acceptance criteria are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART). This clarity helps both developers and stakeholders understand what success looks like for each user story.

To me somehow the SMART goals are akin to the "Key Results" part of the OKRs (Objectives and Key Results). OKRs being the relatively newer way of looking at Goals/Objectives and the resultant progress. Before my sprint team things of using acceptance criteria for the features they going to deliver this sprint, they should know the objective first. Goals would follow an objective. It's like the "vision". SMART Goals would then be the execution part to realize that vision a.k.a. Objective. For sure SMART is the way to go in ensuring their user stories are properly defined, the definition of done is clear, and they also know the impact they're creating delivering that feature - it could be a game-changer.

The whole program increment planning exercise/sprint planning/etc meetings should be a great avenue to validate your acceptance criteria with your client/stakeholders. The dev team's test cases may have included "x" number of scenarios, however if we are to take the game to the "next level" we should have proactively sought the client/stakeholder's feedback on what the definition of ready and definition of done should be. The very fact that Agile expects "technical excellence" and "good design to enhance agility", should be a trigger enough to get the dev team to review their test cases to ensure everything is taken into account to test the features for bugs you may not have expected to be introduced. Automating your test cases is the "technical excellence" part, but before that - "Motivated individuals must work with Business people" to ensure a bug-free release. Agile "Objective", again!

The demos are successful, the client is happy, the team moves on to the next challenge.
