It’s imperative that staff be skilled in multitasking and be trained to be agile for transition to succeed. But unless the management shares its vision, logic and rationale for such transition, the staff will always be apprehensive, insecure and unwilling to participate wholeheartedly in new project. Let me cite a real life example to prove the above. An organisation, as a part of its strategy embarked upon a new project to combine the roles and responsibilities of two separate verticals - Trade & Forex and current account. The idea was to leverage the business customers having current assets for their trade and forex business. However, forex RMs considered themselves to be specially skilled and didn’t participate in the new initiative.
