Batch and lot numbers are also important when we have to identify a returned item or when we have to ship back to the sender for any damaged delivery. Since accounting receive such information, it is directly related to the invoice and it is crucial and accurate to provide both numbers in order to receive the corresponding credit note. Those two numbers make a unique and specific identifiers.
