Testing your mix require familiarity with your equipment. I used a pair of HS8s for over 10 years and pair that with listening to my audio over every other listening piece I have : Sony MDRs, M-Audio, Car, IPhone, Computer speakers. What you are trying I do is capture the sound on different platforms to get relatively accurate mix. Gaining feedback from clients usually is a back and forth over email or in person review sessions.
