This totally depends on your architecture: 1. For architecture with API Gateway you can you its functionality to monitor the metrics 2. For the K8S cluster you can install an agent into your pods and gather data via DataDog or other tools 3. If your architecture is very simple and you don't use API gateway, Orchestration, etc. You can modify your code and integrate it with monitoring and alerting tools

Our company provides testing services, including payment testing. For one client, we do payment API production testing. When a new payment method is being implemented in a new location, the developer will code API calls for the specific payment method into a URL. The tester (real owner of the payment method) would use the URL to conduct a small payment (generally 2-5$). Very often, we see that despite the specifications being used, the first 3-5 attempts to conduct a payment via an API call would fail. The developers would analyze the reason for failure (from the logs), fix the issue, and provide a new URL to the tester. Successful payment transactions would indicate that the API calls were implemented correctly.
