After the theory you need practice. Probably you attend many webinars and many companies showed you a demo of their IoT platform or IoT solution. But if you really want to experiment you need to create your first Hello IoT world project. Before you start with creating any project/demo or PoC, think in what is most important for you and start with easy examples. The typical plan includes: 1 - If you have identified a company that can provide with a development kit is better because you will have the HW / SW and tutorial that you need to create your first IoT project. 2 - You can opt for select and buy the hardware (arduino board for example), the platform and use your previous knowledge and experience to create your first IoT solution.
