Just like any industry and looking for any job, you've got to show that you actually know how to do the work. For example, if I'm hiring someone to launch my next NFT project - I want to see that you've previously launched an NFT project.

Join or co-found a Web3 startup or association. Start contributing in DAOs or Telegram Web3 communities. Alternatively, launch a Medium blog or YouTube channel where you may educate people on Web3 topics.

I both agree and disagree with this idea, as creating a Web3 identity can be seen as unprofessional by those unfamiliar with the concept. It's essential to research your audience and adapt accordingly. For instance, at an in-person conference, if most attendees are not well-versed in Web3, it's wise to keep things more traditional. However, in a fully Web3-centric environment, feel free to express yourself, embracing your unique on-chain identity.

If you are with a Web3 company or traditional co, you will certainly want to have a trusted identity. If you are a solopreneur and individual working or trying to work in Web3, Ive seen ID be developed/promoted in both ways--people who use their real ID and those who dont. I have engaged with several folks where I just know their social profile and not nec their real name. It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish and whether you are a VC--an entrepreneur--a trader--an exchange, etc. I tend to embrace more transparency with ID.

I added my Web3 contribution to the space on my career section on LinkedIn to validate my voice. However, it is not enough to showcase your field experience. I think LinkedIn's algorithm will consider you an expert mostly if you have education degree/certificate to back up your experience.

It is a start to use both mediums. It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Having a presence is a must. Ive seen successful people who just have Lin as a placeholder and arent engaged. As an example, if you are looking for job opportunities, Lin and a resume arent enough. There is a lot of competition. You need to develop real world relationships in person and virtually where there is more substance. People want to know what you are like as well and what your soft skills are and how you would fit. Also how are you unique and what sets you apart?

If you are starting off in your Web3 learning journey, it can feel like you're not qualified to work in the space. However, we are still so early, and there are so few people who already have work experience in Web3, that your skills would be really valuable in a team. In an interview, if you can showcase what you are brilliant at, how it can add value to that company, and show your eagerness to learn everything you possibly can about Web3, this will stand you in great stead. I repeat: you do not need to be an expert yet! There are so few real experts out there, so just be a sponge for knowledge. For employers, it's easier to train for knowledge than skills.

You can launch a product if you listen to your Discord or Lin community. You have to understand what a smart contract is or an API or a dApp and the utility of each, as other examples.

Web3 interviews aren't that different from Web2. Being well-versed in emerging technologies and showcasing your practical experience will set you apart in this evolving digital landscape. Here are some hands on tips: Dive Deep: Research the company, role, and industry. Understand their Web3 initiatives, competitors, and challenges. Just build something. The barrier to entry is so low that there’s no excuse to not just build something. You can write a smart-contract that does nearly anything, and put it on an L2 blockchain for next to nothing. You can create a Sandbox NFT and participate in that metaverse or get involved with Lamina1. The entire ecosystem is in its infancy and much of it has not been built or refined yet. So, just build something and show your work.

As with everything in crypto, the maxim "trust, but verify" will be front of mind for most web3 employers. Given this, it's important to ensure that you are able to provide sufficient evidence of your Web3 nous - whether self-learning or practical work experience. It will go a long way given it's still a young industry. 1. Community: Show you're active on Crypto Twitter/Farcaster & have a good grasp on current trends/narratives/discussions (make sure you have an undoxxed account if you don't want to dox any anon acc). 2. Practical > Conceptual: Showcase your on-chain activity through degenscore(.com); not just an armchair crypto enthusiast but have dived into the trenches. 3.
