What are the challenges and risks you face? What are the trade-offs and constraints you have to consider? After this initial review, I would approach the evaluation from a different perspective. Once satisfied, I would proceed to implement a pilot version. I would continually monitor its performance and make changes as necessary.

After assembling all the components of an application, the process revolves around addressing diverse challenges with precisely defined solutions. Each facet of microservices – whether related to communication, database operations, security, or deployment – presents its own unique obstacles. And for every recurring challenge that surfaces, specific design patterns can be relied upon to provide effective solutions. In summary, the approach can be distilled into a cyclical mantra: combine, evaluate, review, redesign, and then repeat.

Design, Develop & maintenance of microservices will be added more overhead. You have to compare these drawbacks with the benefit you planned to get with the microservice-based approach.
Besides choosing the correct design pattern for the problem to be solved, consider patterns to test microservices that go with the chosen aforementioned pattern. Always consider contract- and integration tests to verify the service works within its boundaries. For sagas, try to define Integration- or even some E2E test scenarios that ensure a proper rollback. For circuit breaks, embed a chaos monkey in the architecture to see that failures are not cascading. At best, think about and implement most of these tests as early as possible and observe the tests to find the services that need fine-tuning.
If not already decided, verify that a microservice architecture is the correct choice for the current stage of your software system.
