Data anonymization is more suitable when the goal is to protect individual privacy, enable research or analysis, and preserve data utility. On the other hand, tokenization is preferable when the primary objective is to enhance security, simplify compliance, and facilitate efficient transaction processing or data integration.

In my experience, centralize data governance tools are better. They make it easy to audit and provide single click information who can access what? Also TBAC(tag based access control) is seems to more effective mechanism with growing set of roles and datasets in the organizations.
