This is an area that is easy to overlook. Not meaning that it gets completely skipped but rather not enough time given to think through the different impact and also how it is or will be measured. If the KPI is important to measure and monitor, I'm a huge fan of simplicity. There have been many times that we have tracked a KPI with a simple tally sheet because we did not have the ability to implement electronic tracking quickly and inexpensively.

Write down every detail of your experiment - what you did, what worked, and what didn't. Use what you learned to improve. Keep tweaking things to make your success even bigger. Check if your systems can handle the growth. Make sure your infrastructure can keep up. Understand what your customers need. Keep listening and adapting based on their feedback. Make a plan to scale up. Set goals, use resources wisely, and have a realistic timeline. Think about possible problems and plan for them. Being ready for issues helps keep the journey smooth. Use metrics to see if you're doing well. Keep improving based on what you find out.

Remember, everyone likes to be part of a successful project. If your experiment proves effective and delivers value, share your findings with other teams within your organization or similar departments in other countries. You might be surprised at how far your idea can go when it’s proven successful.

Think about scalability when designing your experiment. Ask yourself whether your solution is a) technically possible to scale b) is financial viable at scale and c) would have stakeholder buy in. These factors are important success criteria. If they aren't factored in, you risk focusing on experiments that will never deliver the improvements needed to meet your objective or KPIs.
