How do you reward your agile mindset?

Rewarding an agile mindset involves recognizing and reinforcing behaviors that align with agile principles and values. This can include acknowledging individuals who demonstrate collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement. Celebrating team achievements, such as successful sprint deliveries or innovative problem-solving, reinforces the importance of agile practices. Providing opportunities for professional growth and skill development encourages a mindset of learning and experimentation. Additionally, fostering a supportive and empowering work environment, where individuals feel valued and trusted, promotes the adoption and sustainability of agile practices.

1) It is important to understand what motivates your group of knowledge workers. Is it the rewards, promotions, recognition or the more so by providing the meaningful work by their area of interest. While leading a group that is expected to be aligned and transparent at work , behind the work leaders should also constantly check if the knowledge worker and team are on the same page in terms of their satisfaction. 2) Having a cross functional environment at work can be demotivating, team can be exhausted at times to do certain tasks that don't quite match their expectations. 3) While reward and recognition comes much later to solve the issues later leadership must build a team around convinced and motivated individuals.

I believe having a Showcase session is an excellent way to foster collective learning and collaboration within your team. By inviting both internal and external members to share their success stories and work practices, you create a platform for knowledge exchange. These sessions not only celebrate achievements but also facilitate discussions on how these successes can be adapted and applied to your own team's work. This approach encourages cross-pollination of ideas and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This showcase and strategic discussion approach not only supports the team's development but also strengthens their engagement and sense of ownership in the agile journey.

I couldn't agree less on the need to reflect and improve your processes, products and performance in an agile environment. Agile is humanistic in approach and so it is imperative for the Agile Expert to recognize the need to constantly review in order to reflect on what is working and what is not working, the end goal is to lead your team to improve of your processes and performance and in turn improve your products and service delivery. In my experience, I have observed that this work every single time! Things often go wrong when you violate this simple agile practice to reflect and improve.

Si l'esprit est là et que la mise en action suis cet esprit alors les réussites arriveront toutes seules, comme des grandes, et seront de véritables récompenses. Dans le cas contraire, c'est a dire s'il n'y a pas de résultat, pourquoi vouloir se récompenser ?

La récompense se traduit par la satisfaction du résultat. Aussi rien de plus satisfaisant que de voir autour de soi la diffusion de cet ??état d’esprit?? à travers le partage, la richesse des échanges.
