What we know for sure is that at the operational level there is skills and flow that ensure that an input is converted to an output for the company. What seems to be missing is the clarity as to managements role. Maybe we should pay management and the board the same salary as a first level supervisor and let them make up there current salary with implemented initiatives that result in actual growth. Selling more, having the capacity to make more, open markets not previously serviced, new product development investment. Maybe then they will be open for considering alternatives that can help them earn there salary. This may remove politics and create a team to work together for the better good of the company

Stakeholder management is crucial, but how do we showcase the value? Track relevant KPIs, participation rates, survey scores, new partnerships, testimonials. Share stories vs just data, provide examples of stakeholder impact on milestones. Quote stakeholders on the value of collaborating. Highlight both hard results and relational outcomes. Communicate regularly, not just at milestones - share quick wins and lessons learned. Effective stakeholder engagement is a journey. By tracking KPIs, telling stories, and ongoing visibility, leaders can demonstrate the tremendous value of stakeholder relationships for strategy, results and organizational resilience.

One of the possibilities to report on partners/stakeholders outcomes is to conduct perception analysis to appreciate their contributions to the outcomes of a programme/project.

Watch out for analysis paralysis. Without an agreement on the constraint and capturing information around it we may spend far more time getting lots of data but nothing done about it. Its just interesting. So just ask yourself two questions. 1. What is the financial leverage of my company ie How much should I sell more if I want to show an increase in NP of x? What would the impact be on my NP if raw materials price increase with Y. If I suspect an increase in Operating expense of z by how much should I raise my prices or increase my sales to have the same NP. The most underrated leadership / management skill today is 'managing up'. That means communicating clearly with your manager / leader as to whats happening, how you and your team are progressing against goals and where you need help (this people forget). Too often in my leadership and coaching career have I heard the terms 'my manager is does not understand what I am doing' when that person was not communicating often enough, not communicating in a way the leader understood (some are auditory, some visual leaders) and / or they were reporting on the wrong things i.e., on their goals not the managers. Be crystal-clear understanding of your mission - how your manager wants to be communicated with and how often and then do that.

So here is how I like taking on a routine-based process to keep stakeholders satisfied with continual progress on goals and objectives: Take your current top five quarterly goals and ensure that, for the remainder of the quarter, you have at least one weekly deliverable for each one. Then, assign individuals to report performance against that milestone weekly. By following this process, you'll be producing those crucial benchmarks per your stakeholders' expectations.

This should be the management focus. We have built an engine and it can sell more until it runs out of capacity. What is management doing to drive the increase in sales? Are we doing more with what we have? What is the constraint and how can we manage it better? When do we need to elevate the constraint and what is the timing for it. Elevate it too early drains cash and do it too late will lead to lost sales. This is managements responsibility. If they get paid high salaries they are already comfortable. We need to get them hungry.

This is again simple. With a single measurement (all my comments was for a for profit company). If we did not make and sell more then the focus will be in managements meetings figuring out what need to change and what do we need to change to to get results. Everybody will now focus on how to build and exploit the engine that drives business. How do we do that? I would suggest slowly. We decrease the salary of management slowly whilst increasing the profit contribution to there salary maybe over a period of 5 to 10 years. They can even pay them in shares. Will it work from a human perspective? For the executives that can see how they can earn more this way, they will be open for the challenge.
