Scripting can be difficult, but it's really a sign of a mature developer, to be able to automate away CLI commands in a clear, concise, repeatable way.

I would advise studying using Git and GitHub CLI tools to improve the local development workflow. The first is an excellent tool for all operations with Git repositories (both GitHub and GitLab). Also, there is a specific tool for GitHub. Their CLI allows them to communicate with the portal without going to the browser. For example, I could create a PR and assign reviewers and labels from one command. The best thing is that after the commit and push from git CLI, one could do the 'gh pr create' to move the branch and make a pull request. Also, on top of these tools, one could make one's own Bash scripts.

Always build your workflows in a reusable fashion, similar to shared libraries in Jenkins. Maintain separate repo which can hold these pipelines and refer them in the individual repos using tags which can give more flexibility during testing/enhancements
