To measure the impact of an article posted on LinkedIn, One should be very clear about the objective of the article I.e what message one likes to convey,and following metrics needs to tracked: 1. Views: Number of times your article is seen. 2. Engagement: Total likes, comments, and shares. 3.Follower Growth: Increase in your followers post-publication. 4.Click-Through Rate (CTR): How many clicked links in your article. 5.Profile Views: Number of people viewing your profile after reading. 6.Message Inquiries: Direct messages received related to the article. 7.Sentiment Analysis: Tone of comments and feedback. In order to be successful in your message, you need to know who the target audience is. It can be done by understanding the demographics, social and economical status, or even their preferences. Once this is established, you can set up the goals. Remember to use the SMART goals method: Be Specific on what you aim to achieve, define every detail very clearly. Then, make it Measurable. Use straight indicators that can quantify the success of your copy like conversion rate and views. After this, use your critical sense to calculate if this is Achievable. From a time to a workable perspective, consider if the goals are realistic. Subsequently, is it Relevant? Is it aligned with the intentions of the copy? In the end, delineate the Time frame.

I see copywriting as marketing journalism. My goal thus is to share the stories and perspectives of the people within the company. No one said it would be easy! Writing a great piece may take weeks if it's a stranger or one evening if it's a friend you're working with. Regardless of the case, my objective is to dissolve in their story, share their vision and present them as a unique human being in this highly competitive corporate race.

If someone who you know is competent in the area shares your story, go bring champagne! A manager from your client's company liked your writing? A toast to a great writer! Choose your metrics with kindness to yourself. Celebrate every tiny success, 'cause otherwise you'll end up burnt out before you know it.

Depending on where you are creating your copy, you have different available tools to showcase its performance. For instance, if you are doing an E-mail or even a Push notification, don't forget to correctly update your tracking link, otherwise you are at risk of losing the results! Then, you can use Eulerian to have access to the metrics, for example. Google Analytics is also a great solution to use! In case you are using a Content Management System, an analytics feature can already be included in the service. If in doubt of what copy could perform better, create an A/B testing.

Utilize appropriate tools and methods to gather data. Google Analytics, social media analytics tools, email marketing platforms, and customer surveys are among the tools you can use. Implement tracking codes and cookies for accurate data collection.

Once again, this step is linked to the objectives that you had set previously. The interpretation of the results of your copy is always an opportunity to improve in case they are not favourable! Maintain what is working and adapt what is not. Therefore, critically analyse if your content was not appealing or dull. Maybe what happened was that your Call to Action was not clear enough or you even used terms inappropriately. An example of this could be addressing a customer with an Informal You instead of the Formal You in certain contexts and languages (like tu and usted in Spanish).

I knew that our founder was a popular guy. I mean, not that one who posts great pictures from luxury resorts, but the one who still architects and codes great software and leads the folks. Same story with Alex, Head of PMO. Or Alex, Head of Presales. Experts in their areas, their authority enters the room before them. Their posts always sell greatly among clients and employees. It's easy to interpret the result of your work, when a lead agrees to work with the team after reading one of such articles.

To improve your copy you need to understand its weaknesses. Gather some unbiased feedback from different people. It can either be from your boss, colleagues or even family members. This can give you some insights that you might have overlooked. As well, be creative and perform A/B testing to see what your audience resonates more with. Once again, depending on your target audience, check online for some communication tips. For instance, if you are writing to Gen Baby Boomers, you cannot have the same mannerisms as to Gen Z. If you are making use of sense of humour and incorporating some trendy content in your copy, don't use the same references to both Generations as the message will be lost for part of the group.

Listen to your heart. Be kind and honest with yourself. You can never be too good, but once you did everything to make this copy better than the previous one, you are good to go. Try not to overdo it -- read or write too much. You risk overwhelming your beautiful brain with tasks and end up burn out. See your target audience clearly. Who are you writing for? Engineer or business guys? It may take months before you understand what message they are looking for. After 5 years in digital marketing, I'm still shaping this TA image and sharpening the message I try to convey.

Totally agree with experience with a different audience. Having a group of people from different environment helps to shape the message. Usually I put my self in different roles so I try to understand what are going to be the outcomes from each client. Not an easy task, but I needed one.

You should keep in mind the environment your target audience is experiencing. For instance, in my professional life, I have noticed that I created "good" copywriting (great metrics, a lot of views, clicks and engagement). Nevertheless, I failed to convert those numbers into purchases. Why? Because the prices were not well adjusted to the economical scenery that the clients were living in. Therefore, don't take everything that fails on you. Probably the problem was not your copy but some external factor that could have had an impact on your success.

Be the writer. Be the explorer. Don't be afraid of your own voice. Otherwise, what all of this is for? It's hard to be unique and follow the corporate writing guidelines. Find your uniqueness in your approach to work, in the way you take interviews and describe the projects. There must be something that will make people think of you after the article went live. And there must be something to remember for you, too, except for the techs you just described and how they contribute to your company's success.

Consider external factors that may influence your results, such as seasonality, market trends, or competitive activities. Additionally, take into account the customer journey and how your copy fits into it.
