When finding the indicators to track culture change start by going back to the reasons why its changing in the first place. Culture change is about addressing the root problem not putting a band aid's on the issue. For example - if you have a problem with toxic behaviors. 1. Identify who is contributing to those behaviors. 2. Find out and separate those employees into 2 groups. Group A - its part of their make up to contribute to toxic behavior or group B - they were turned toxic due to reason A or B. 3. Get rid of group A 4. Identify why group B turned 5. Work with group B to put a collaborative solution in place. 6. Take ownership in your part, and hold that team accountable for there part. Indicators are set up by both sides.

The method “Before & After” is usually the best method one can use to see the results of a culture change within an organisation. The different KPIs are usually the best metrics of this method. Numbers never lie but it is also important not to just read the numbers, but to proceed to a data analysis taking into account all the parameters that affect the KPIs.
