How do you maximize your time as a content creator?

Content creation in general takes a lot of time but there are a few things one can do to optimize their time. For instance - 1. Set tasks based on their priority. 2. Separate each task sessions. 3. Do distraction free work. 4. Plan ahead of schedule. 5. Do not multitask.

I create a clear routine for myself. Which I follow every week. For videos, it works as follows: 1?? I block out 1 hour per day. During this time, I write 5-8 scripts. I leave the scripts for a day. 2?? Then I take another day to sharpen the hook. 3?? Then the videos are recorded in one go. 4?? The videos are then edited piece by piece. That's how I went from 3 hours per video to less than 1 hour per video.

Planning in advance helps you stay organised and on track. In addition use tools to help you get the most out of your time whether that's using Notion for your content calendar, Buffer or Publer as your content scheduler, tech will be an enabler in helping you create more. As a result you will be working more efficiently and making sure nothing gets missed.

Time Management as a Content Creator is tough because creators are always being pulled in multiple directions. You’ll often get asked to do things that you don’t want to do and you have to get comfortable with saying “No!”.

Rest. Meaningful and intentional rest. It’s essential. Otherwise you will burn out and have 0 ideas. Whether it’s exercise, watching your favourite show, going to a religious/spiritual even/institution etc - it’s so important. This way you can do more in less time as you won’t be so drained.

Follow other creators in your niche: It's easy to get burnt out making content, or run into "writer's block" or just lose inspiration. Following others in your niche can help you stay on top of what's trending in your industry, as well as new ideas or even content styles.

As a content creator, it's important for me to make the most of my time. To do this, I focus on quality over quantity, I plan my content ahead of time, and repurpose the content to reach more people. I like to collaborate with others, take breaks, and take care of myself to avoid burnout and keep my creativity flowing!
