How do you manage sensitive topics on social media?

Not to add anything that leaves negative impact on the reader's mind. While writing on sensitive topics, be conscious & be positivie. Positivity leads to hope & strength.

Before I post anything I ask myself why I should. Especially if the post has garnered a lot of opinions about the subject matter. I usually do not post unless I am sure that my post will reveal the truth and in the most respectable manner.

Ultimately, the goal is to contribute positively to discussions while upholding my personal brand.

Ask yourself before posting something that may be deemed controversial is this something I can live with forever. If you can’t honestly answer that don’t post. Stand by what you post and have a strong and firm belief in your stance. There are certain posts I’ve created throughout the years and I stand by them all. You may lose out on some things, but if your integrity remains intact and you are good with you then post away.

I am often asked do I post if I have a different opinion than the majority. Having a different opinion isn't wrong, what's important is how you convey or potray it. If you pitch it saying " What i say is right, everyone else is wrong" potrays a wrong perception. Shows you as fixated, opinionated and closed to learning. But if u pitch it saying " this is my opinion, but i appreciate your opinion" it shows you as flexible, respectful, empathetic and open to learning. Very important to learn the difference

I used to ignore the sensitive topics on social media because, sometimes ignorance is the best way to deal with a situation.

This social media platform is for professionals in terms of networking, job hunting and searching, gaining access to valuable information and insights and above all connections. The users should avoid initiating sensitive topics such as politics which might instil hate. Treat this as your own webpage and set the tone for others to treat you well.

The social media space is filled with different people with diverse opinions on different issues. So what I do is to normally understand this reality that I cannot have the same understanding like the next person before I do my post or share my opinion. I also understand that not everyone will agree with my opinion and so I am open to criticism too.
