Before my journey into cybersecurity, I used to teach young language learners. I’d tell my students - be kind and if you can’t be kind, be quiet. ?? It’s not that different for us adults in the workforce! ?? Remember that there are plenty of ways to disagree civilly and constructively. When mutual respect is at the heart of idea exchange, companies are ultimately safer, more secure, and more innovative! ?? ?? ??

Cybersecurity is a team effort and naturally conflicts will arise - Try to get data points so you have an objective way of analyzing each viewpoint - Involve the team members in discussions and try to find the middle way. Ask them to justify / risk assess each viewpoint - If that is not possible then choose the one that has the most data backing it up and explain to the other person why No one is right 100% of the time and this applies to cybersecurity as well !
