1 Assess the impacts

Before you start any construction project, you need to conduct a thorough assessment of the potential impacts that your project will have on the natural and social environment. This includes identifying the risks and opportunities, the costs and benefits, and the trade-offs and alternatives. You can use tools such as life cycle assessment, environmental impact assessment, social impact assessment, and stakeholder analysis to help you evaluate the impacts and their implications. Construction Managment is not the rocket science if you plan all the aspects of the construction in terms of the complexity of the project which is not limited to a) project budget, b) resources requirement in terms on manpower, material, machinery c)risk factor assessment, d) works sequence planning and monitoring, e) QAQC plan f) Safety, Health & Environment Control Aspects g) Control of documents h) laws and regulations. i) Stakeholder Management Those above aspects definitely have great impact on the natural and social environment, if they are well taken care of. This will minimize any negative impacts on the society and project can run completed smoothly. However, professional ethics will have major roles in construction Managment.

Why do they need to be socially acceptable? All projects should be environmentally aware and take this into account. Lets not make sustainability a new niche position within the industry it should be a given.

I will emphasize on basically on stakeholder management. If each stakeholder & Construction team is aware of their responsibility and impact on project if fails to comply with planned schedules, cost or prompt action for mitigation as per risk assessment. Project Management team can create a well document and analysis on different aspects of construction management but it is the other stakeholder's timely initiatives or construction team's analytical strength will craft the product as planned.

Another helpful tool to consider is to conduct mobilisation audit at least a month into your project to gage where you're team at with application of the project plan/strategies/policy/processes.

También es bueno aprender de los errores de los demás. El que esté interesado que me pregunte, que yo le cuento los míos. Y en mi opinión, hay que tener en cuenta que proyectos de transformación del entorno siempre llevan aparejados un rechazo de la población. Pero si la actuación es necesaria (véase, el soterramiento de la M-30 o la peatonalizacion del centro de Málaga) debe contar con el apoyo firme de los responsables de su ejecución)

Many clients now require their contractors to implement sustainable practices on their projects. It is a growing trend in which government agencies are giving preferential treatment to socially responsible contractors when awarding contracts.
