Set goals for your content so that you can know if you've hit the mark -- and it can't be as simple as pageviews or sign ups. For instance, perhaps it's shares or mentions on LinkedIn, perhaps it's the number of clicks off the content to something else. Figure out what the objective is for EACH piece of content and then set a benchmark while planning it so that you know what you were originally trying to achieve. That often gets lost by the time we get to actualize the plan.
