At Early Start Africa, we make learning a goal from the recruitment stage. The questions we ask point new employees to the need to continually learn. How supervisors lead is designed to provide practical support for the teams. It is always important that employees feel safe to learn and no pressure to appear competent in areas they need to advance their knowledge. We use brainstorming and rotational boardroom presentations to allow staff practice their areas of interest and receive feedback from their colleagues.

First as a leader you have to be aware of your company’s strategy and vision to be able to transform it to the whole staff L&D Managers should be aware of staff’s capabilities, objectives and to matrix it with company’s vision or strategy You can start with focus group, surveys to know where r u standing or how they r far from it then u can translate it into learning programs with some experiential learning to ensure that they digest it well! And endlessly it will be reflected in their KPIs impacting positively companies ROI!

The analysis to identify gaps is the most sensitive part of any learning program. The way the information is teased out and held is like a delivery of a new born baby . It can be easy and straightforward or there can be many complications that you will face . It’s knowing what are the best strategies are that should be applied to get the right information or highlight the gaps. It’s the start of a journey that will create an amazing learning experience for all .
