To ask genuine questions, one must truly listen. And to truly listen requires awareness. The awareness to get out of my mind, concentrate from the clear space behind my eyes, and process what I see and hear. Then ask what is the need driving that response or behaviour. Requires a lot of self-awareness and practice, agree?
