Sustainability is also called the Triple Bottom Line, referring to long term viability not just from a financial standpoint (Profit), but also from environmental (Planet) and social (People) perspectives. It should be integrated into corporate policies & improvement plans like ensuring that recycling is happening wherever possible, minimizing the use of paper, policies designed to limit travel for team members (WFH policies and plans for onsite meetings of remote work teams), best practices around turning off lights, computers etc. Organizations shouldn’t have to choose between business performance or sustainability; they should be able to deliver outcomes in a manner that still encourages sustainability.
