To me, this should say "Encourage Collaboration". Whether you have a diverse team or not, it's how well team members can work together that can make or break a high performance team. Although diverse perspectives, experiences, backgrounds and skills can significantly boost a team's performance, if they can't collaborate or work well together, then the rest doesn't matter in the end.

I would add to this, "provide autonomy". If you're constantly micromanaging or looking over your team's shoulder, they won't be able to perform to the fullest of their ability.
